Chapter 1

Factory Default Settings

Pre-configured values established prior to shipment

Overview

Each SM5000 unit is pre-configured at the factory prior to shipment based on settings determined during pre-shipment consultation. This chapter describes every setting established before the device reaches the deployment site, what the factory defaults are, and which items require action by the commissioner.

All configuration settings are accessible and adjustable post-deployment via the device's built-in web interface. Refer to Chapter 2 for a full walkthrough.

IP Address Conflict Warning: All SM5000 units ship with the same default static IP. Do not connect more than one unconfigured device to the same network segment simultaneously.

1Network Configuration

Static IP by default. Each unit must be assigned a unique address during deployment. Refer to Section 2.3.
